Pteranodon longiceps
“Winged and Toothless”
Pteranodon, meaning 'winged and toothless', was not actually a dinosaur but a pterosaur - a flying reptile that lived alongside dinosaurs. With a wingspan of over 20 feet, it soared over ancient seas, diving to catch fish like a modern pelican. Its distinctive backward-pointing head crest may have been used for steering in flight or attracting mates.
