Velociraptor
Velociraptor mongoliensis
“Swift Thief”
Velociraptor, meaning 'swift thief', was a small but deadly predator. Despite being only turkey-sized (not as large as shown in movies), it was an intelligent and agile hunter. Its most distinctive feature was a large, sickle-shaped claw on each foot used to slash at prey. Fossil evidence shows Velociraptors were covered in feathers.
